Regarding your answers to interview questions, I said, &#8220;don\u2019t limit yourself to on-the-job experiences.&#8221; Why? Because it&#8217;s all about establishing evidence that you can do the job. You can definitely demonstrate skills outside of full-time employment (especially if you&#8217;re a student).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The &#8220;Management Tip of the Day&#8221; from Harvard Business Review deals with covering employment gaps in your resume. &#8220;[Challenge] your assumption that employers only value the skills you developed in paid positions.&#8221; Just as you can reframe your unpaid experience in interviews, you should do so on your resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I highly recommend signing up for the daily management tip, even if you aren&#8217;t a manager.
